The Week of July 11th, 2016- To Be Amazed and Amused

“What is a Cockentrice anyway?”

Noun: One of the more fanciful and imaginative dishes of the Middle Ages, made most often by sewing a pig and a capon together to create a single creature, a “new” animal that would not only feed the masses, but amuse and amaze them as well.

Greetings, Atlanta Neighbors!

By now, we hope you think of The Cockentrice at Krog Street Market as a place to be “amazed” — the perfect destination for a special date night or a place to entertain that very important client.

But now, as we head into the lazy and relaxing days of Summer, we also want the restaurant to be a place where you feel “amused” and have fun!  We love all of our Atlanta Neighborhoods, are ever so grateful to have you be a part of our growth, and want to get to know you better!  For that reason, we are launching a new Summer menu that we hope you’ll find fun and approachable.

Starting this July, let us become your favorite neighborhood watering hole, where you can still treat yourself to our Pork Porter-House Voted by ZAGAT as the Best Steak in Georgia for 2016 or a Farmer-Curated Vegetable Plate, but where you can also enjoy a more relaxed evening with friends and family — grabbing a quick burger, meat and cheese plate, or salad after a Beltline Stroll.

Come meet our new Beverage Director, Cole Younger Just, voted 2015 Bartender of the Year by Atlanta Magazine, who will be manning the bar this Summer with some amazing Fresh Summer Cocktails inspired by the season.

Bring in this mailer or show it on your phone any time now through August 31 and get 10% off your entire meal.  We are looking forward to a great Summer, getting to know our neighbors better, and having some FUN!

Thank you so much for your support,
