Menu for the Week of September 23, 2013 — “Best Of” Announcements and Cheese Road Trips!

Last week, Creative Loafing published its annual “Best Of” edition, and we are thrilled to say that we were voted “Best Place to Buy Meaty Goods” by the critics and “Best Local Food Company” by the readers  We have been so incredibly busy lately that we didn’t even have time to harass you all for your votes, which makes these wins even more special.  Thank you Atlanta for your support and for thinking of us even when we weren’t! You are the BEST OF all!

Speaking of busy, our main cheese expert, Scott, is heading up to Nashville this weekend to represent us for the second year at Nashville’s Southern Artisan Cheese Festival.  We attended last year, and it was an absolute blast, so we are disappointed that we can’t personally attend, but if you’re up there, please stop by and see Scott and show him a couple friendly ATL faces!  He’ll have some meaty treats from the shop with him so of course that’s the other reason to stop by and say hello!

To round out the weekend, we’ll be catering a tailgate in Athens for the UGA-LSU game, attending a wedding of two of our best friends, pumping out sausage for the Falcons home game on Sunday, and maybe trying to catch a few hours of sleep if we’re lucky.  It appears that Fall and Holiday festivities always creep up on us out of nowhere, and this year is starting off like all the others — it’s a non-stop sprint to the end of 2013 from here on out, so two-a-day coffees here we come!

For those of who can’t get to your stores often enough to see the various cheeses you have to offer: why don’t you list on your website menu whether goat, sheep, cow, or other’s milk is used. Thanks, can’t wait to get something shipped to Tampa, FL
