Menu for the Week of September 1, 2014 – Serenbe’s Southern Chef’s Potluck
Greetings Meat Lovers!
Hope everyone had a fabulous long weekend filled with family gatherings and grilling out! Fall festival season is now upon us, and this weekend is one of our favorite events of the year – the Southern Chef’s Potluck! We are super excited to be participating again this year among many of Georgia’s finest chefs to benefit Wholesome Wave Georgia!! For those of you who don’t know, Wholesome Wave Georgia increases access to fresh, healthy, locally grown food for all Georgians (by matching SNAP benefits dollar for dollar at participating farmers markets). And if you haven’t made it down to the Inn at Serenbe before for this amazing event, well you should. No other event benefits such an amazing cause in such a beautiful setting as this one (and we haven’t even started talking food, let alone Meaty Goodness yet)!
Guests dine family style with the chefs and their families on the pastoral grounds of the Inn at Serenbe. In addition to food and fellowship, the event will feature local beer, wine and cocktails created by Atlanta’s best mixologists and a live auction for unforgettable culinary experiences. Last year’s event raised more than $90,000 for Wholesome Wave Georgia, translating to more than $180,000 in fresh food for Georgia Nutrition Assistance Recipients and for local farmers (YEAH!!)
