Thanks to everyone who came to the CIVIC event on Friday, and we hope you all enjoyed yourselves as much as we did.  Perhaps our two favorite moments?   A special someone who “doesn’t drink” asking for a second glass of the AMAZING American Spirit Whiskey cocktail made by Andy Minchow of H&F Public House,  and another certain someone who “doesn’t like ‘gamey’ meats” saying that her favorite course was the Spicy Printanier with Venison and Ox Tail Ragout!  We absolutely love getting to see people try new things!

Still on Cloud 9 from CIVIC III, we spent the weekend planning CIVIC IV, which will be the last event of the year as the colder weather and over-scheduled holidays approach.  As we got to thinking, we realized that only a week after the next scheduled CIVIC on October 26th, it’ll be our one-year anniversary of opening the retail shop.  Time really flies when you’re having fun!  So, this email blast is to let you know that everyone — not just a lucky 35 or so people who can fit on our porch — should mark their calendars for October 26th.  More details to come soon, but let’s just say that we’re moving the party back into the parking lot, and we’ve already booked an amazing live band, signed up a number of great chefs to provide food, invited down several farmers and producers to celebrate their product, and started talking to a couple beer and liquor providers about sponsoring the whole darn thing!

On a slightly more serious note, we recognize that not all small businesses make it to a year milestone like this, so we cannot thank you all enough for all of your support in the past year.
