Menu for the Week of June 25, 2012 — We Finally “Get Delicious” On Our Porch!

Menu for the Week of June 25, 2012 — We Finally “Get Delicious” On Our Porch!

Hello Summer Heat!  We hope everyone made it to one of the many events we mailed you about last week, but if you didn’t, here are two more chances to redeem yourselves!

First, this coming Sunday, July 1st, join us and a whole lot of meat lovers for a sneak peek at the Plaza Theatre of the third installment of Atlanta’s own “Get Delicious!” — an Emmy award-winning program that spreads the gospel of wonderful, often unknown, places in and around Atlanta to taste great food.  This third installment is called “Barbecue, Bacon, and Other Adventures in Meat” and may just feature a small cameo by your very own The Spotted Trotter!   Can’t make it on Sunday?  Set your DVRs to PBA 30 on July 5th at 8 p.m. or July 8th at 9 p.m. to see it on TV!  You’ll be supporting local food and local TV all in one sitting.

As for the next event, you’ve got a little more time to prepare.  Everyone keeps asking us what we’re planning to do with our porch.  Well, here we go!  Please consider joining us on July 27th for the first installment of CIVIC by The Spotted Trotter

Civic  /  adj.  /  Of, concerning, or affecting the community or the people.

Starting in July,  and continuing on until we cry uncle, we’ll be hosting charcuterie nights on the last Friday of every month on our porch.  We’ll have several different price points of prepared meat and cheese boards.  You just reserve which one you want ahead of time, and then bring yourself and whatever you want to drink.  We’ll take care of the food, cutlery, glasses, and some music.  Very casual, plan to get to know your neighbors while we all dine like the Europeans.  Given the heat, we’ll start late and go late — 8 p.m. until Midnight…or whenever we kick you out.

We’ll announce again when the date gets closer so you can put in a reservation, and we’ll also make suggestions at that time on wine pairings in case you want to upgrade your experience by bringing the perfect wine or bubbly.  Either way, we are so excited about finally getting some use of our porch and getting to know each of you a little better!

    Hey Chef Ouzts,

Will that pig ever cross the river again? Sure do miss seeing you at the Roswell Farmers Market!
