Menu for the Week of January 12, 2015 – Pigskin Showdown!

Menu for the Week of January 12, 2015 – Pigskin Showdown!

An epic battle is going to be played out on the battle field.  Favorites have been chosen, lines have been drawn, and plays set in motion.  Who do you stand with — steaks or fresh sausages?  Why not rally around for both this coming weekend during the games?  No need to choose between dry-aged rib eye steaks, and your favorite fresh sausage, we have plenty of both ready for you to chow down on this weekend.  Come by the Krog Street Market location for some succulent dry-aged Brasstown rib eyes, or by either location for a full array of fresh sausages to ensure you and the other ravenous fans have plenty to eat while you watch teams battle towards that big trophy everyone is so excited about.

We still have something special cooking for you if you don’t even plan on watching the games.  The Cockentrice will still be open for dinner starting at 5:30 p.m.  Did you happen to catch Kevin last weekend on Atlanta Eats Radio with Mara Davis?  Fred Schneider of the B52′s was there as well, so that certainly was not a bad way to end the first weekend of being open! There was so much to discuss that Part Deux is airing in 2 weeks by the way, but you don’t have to wait until then — you can stop in any night of the week except Monday and try dishes ranging from suckling pig grattons and oxtail pillows, to our study in vegetables or mushroom and bone marrow custard.  With offerings changing all the time, every night is a new culinary adventure waiting to be experienced.

So, in the football game of life, it’s time for you to go for the “W” with The Spotted Trotter and The Cockentrice.
