Menu for the Week of April 6, 2015 — The Cockentrice Debuts its Patio & Lunch Service!

If you’re dying for a new lunch spot and patio to make your new home for Spring outdoor dining — look no further!  The Cockentrice is opening a new patio, launching a spring dinner menu, and debuting its lunch program, just in time for a beautiful Atlanta Spring!

Opening on April 14, the patio space will feature table-top dining as well as barstool seating facing Krog Street, so that diners can enjoy the restaurant’s prime location right off the Beltline and in the middle of Krog Street Market, Atlanta’s best destination for all things local.

Beginning the same day – April 14th – The Cockentrice will also debut its new lunch program, featuring the amazing charcuterie plates the restaurant (and The Spotted Trotter!) has already become known for, as well as artisan sandwiches and salads. Lunch-goers will dine in The Cockentrice’s cozy bar area, as well as on the patio, while the full bar menu will be available so that guests can sit, sip, and linger.  Come enjoy one of Atlanta’s most dynamic new restaurant scenes and check out The Spotted Trotter 2 while you’re at it!  Lunch will be offered Tuesday through Sunday 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

And if that wasn’t enough, Kevin has been working hard on the new Spring Dinner menu as well.  The spring dinner menu at The Cockentrice will change weekly and include dishes like roasted suckling pork confit with carrot and honey noodle, 60-hour tonkatsu pork broth, radish, and pickled turnips; 32 oz. dry aged, hatchet-cut ribeye with gorgonzola potato tartiflette, king royal trumpet mushrooms, and crispy shallot; carrot vermicelli with fresh spring peas, white asparagus, and lamb belly bacon with lamb shank ragu and bantam egg; and the new “Georgia Ginger Whip,” a fuet (Catalan) style salami made with local Georgia ginger.  As a reminder, The Cockentrice offers dinner Tuesday through Thursday and Sunday 5:30 to 11 p.m., and Friday through Saturday 5:30 p.m. to 12 a.m. (the kitchen closes at 10 p.m. each night, with the charcuterie menu available until close).
