Menu for the Week of April 27th, 2015 – Atlanta Food & Wine Festival Is Just Around the Corner!

It seems strange that we would be talking about another festival right after surviving the Inman Park Festival, but Spring is the time for outdoor festivals, and we just can’t help ourselves.  So, let’s start planning for the next one!  

One of our particular favorites is Atlanta’s Food & Wine Festival, which will be held this year May 28th – 31st.  Since its inception, The Spotted Trotter has been lucky enough to be a featured part of the Festival, and this year will be no different.  Except that we’ll have The Cockentrice to show off of course!  

Tickets are already on sale and often sell out.  You can buy them on the AF&WF website by clicking HERE.  And if you’re just not sure what events to participate in and would prefer to see some friendly familiar faces, here’s what Kevin and The Spotted Trotter team will tentatively be doing this year: 

  • Thursday, May 28 – AF&WF has teamed with Craft Catalyst, a brand accelerator that works with early-stage food and beverage companies, on the creation of an Entrepreneur’s Program at the Festival. Megan and Kevin will be speaking about this long strange trip we’ve been on these past 5 years as part of a panel.  
  • Friday, May 29 — Kevin will be a featured Chef in the Connoisseur Series Porsche Dinner.
  • Saturday, May 30 — Kevin will be teaching a class from 11:30 – 12:30 on the art of pairing savory food with sweet wines with rising star sommelier Julie Dalton!
  • Sunday, May 31 — For once, we hope to be drinking and eating in the food tents instead of serving.  See you there!!!

Atlanta Food & Wine has turned in to one of the best festivals not only in the City, but also in the overall Food & Wine circuit.  If you haven’t gone before, it is not to be missed.  Hope to see you there!
