Hey Atlanta!

This week we’re working hard preparing for some delicious items for new opportunities and restaurants that are purchasing meats from our kitchen. New, soon to open,  serving amazing meats  KR SteakBar will be featuring some of of our delicious meats on their menu. They are set to open on the 20th of February so please go check them out.  For those of you outside of the perimeter, Double Zero Napoletana will be featuring some of our fine salumi on the menu as well, Chef Crete is sure to have some great preparations for the menu, so go have a bite and enjoy some great meats. If you are doing any travel in Knoxville, Tennessee, please stop in and see Chef Matt Gallaher at Knox Mason, they are treating the ingredients and the customers right! Go dine on some new southern preparations and say Hello!

We have been missing our wonderful Farmers Market customers and we now have a solution. If you are in the Emory area, we are now a permanent resident at the Emory Farmers Market and we will be there working the Market with our friend and good food phenom, Julie Shaffer. Julie has been helping to improve the South’s food system for some time. Julie is a long time friend of sustainable food. “Since Shaffer took the position of sustainable food service education coordinator in August she has been busy, sowing new ideas about food on campus. The Emory sustainable food initiative calls for 75 percent of the campus food supply to come from local and/or sustainable sources by 2015. Acquainting everyone from dining staff to donors with the joys of eating locally is a crucial part of meeting that goal.” So go get out and say hello and grab a bite. We look forward to seeing you all soon at the spring Markets too, only a few short months away and we will be back in it!
